I am a software engineer. It is my day-job and my hobby. My main interests are software-systems integration, and anything Linux related. I also find web development very interesting, and a largely neglected field. My interest in the web is in Saas (Software as a service) rather than all those web2.0 projects. I appreciate the social aspect of the web, but I think of myself as an engineer, that wants to solve problems and simplify tasks rather than find new ways for people to interact with each other (needlesley most of the time).

Whenever possible, I tend to use FOSS (Free, Open Source Software) solutions. Over the years I got to know several FOSS projects - some I used extenssively, and some only briefly. In this section I would like to share my experience.
